What are Vitamins  :: Vitamins are essential nutrients that are required by the body for various functions.A vitamin is a small molecule that your body needs to carry out a certain reaction.Vitamins work together with enzymes and release energy from digested food and regulate the billions of chemical activities that occur in the body every minute of every day.
The term Vitamins is being made from the two terms “Vital” and “Minerals”. These two terms were combined to form Vitamins. . Any compound is in mineral form, play a vital role in body functions, and essentially required by the body is called Vitamin. The vitamins are differentiated into types depending upon the role they play in body.  
The human body is known to need at least 13 different vitamins:

Vitamin A: This Vitamin is required by the immune system to produce necessary amount of the antibodies to fight against the antigens. Vitamin A helps keep teeth, tissue, membranes, and skin healthy.
Vitamin B12: It is essential form of Vitamin B that helps you to maintain good muscles. A water soluble type vitamin and is one of the B complex vitamins.
The Vitamin B complex includes:
B1
B2
B6
pantothenic acid
folic acid
niacin
biotin
Cobalamin or B12
The best best sources of this vitamin includes:: Eggs,meat,poultry,fish,dairy products.
Vitamin C :: Vitamin C is significant vitamin required for various body functions. Vitamin C is also connected with the health of bones, teeth, hormones, collagen, and blood vessels.The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables
Vitamin D :: This vitamin is necessary for prevention or treatment osteoporosis and psoriasis. Vitamin D can be produced in the body as well as from your diet. The human body can also make vitamin D from direct sunlight, or an ultraviolet light source, hits the skin.
Vitamin E :: It is useful protection of lungs from air pollution and prevents tumor growth. Vitamin E has strong antioxidant properties. The vitamin may protect against heart disease and cancer and improves the way the body uses vitamin A.
Vitamin K :: It is required mainly for the blood coagulation. Vitamin K significantly helps blood to clot after an injury.
Vitamin H or B7 :: It plays an important role in production of hormones and cholesterol.
Pantothenic Acid :: Pantothenic Acid and biotin are water-soluble vitamins. sources of biotin:The sorces of this vitamin includes ::Meats and liver,milk,yeast,cereal,soybeans,peanuts,egg yolks.
Riboflavin :: Riboflavin is also called Vitamin B2.Food sources of riboflavin include ::Milk and dairy products,meat and eggs,leafy, dark green vegetables
Thiamine :: Thiamine, also known as Vitamin B1 and because thiamine is water-soluble, any extra is passed out of the body in the urine.Thiamine is found in foods such as :: Meats (pork and liver),brewer's yeast , soybeans ,peanuts ,dried beans ,whole and enriched breads, grains and cereals
